More than an online shop

Basalt & Oak is the online shop of Seasons of the Glens CIC, a social enterprise based in the Causeway Coast and Glens.

Seasons of the Glens creates routes to market for producers and makers through retail, markets, events and other trading activity. Any surplus profit is reinvested into its own work and into NNCG, its parent charity.

NNCG began in 2012 as a volunteer-led market in Ballycastle. It has since grown into a charity delivering community markets, events and programmes across the Causeway Coast and Glens and wider Northern Ireland.

The income generated through Basalt & Oak helps fund that wider work while also giving producers another way to reach customers.

For our suppliers, it provides a place to sell. For customers, it makes it easier to buy products made in Northern Ireland. For the wider community, it helps keep more money, opportunity and activity here.
